Description of the attraction

A tower was built on the top of the highest mountain in the vicinity of Sochi, Akhun in 1936. To get to its upper observation deck, you need to overcome the spiral of the stone staircase. Each new turn of it opens before the visitor a magnificent view of the sea distance, the mountain panorama of the Caucasian ridge and the whole city, lying in full view.

The author of the project, the talented architect S. I. Vorobyev combined in his creation the collective image of defensive structures and medieval castles traditional for the mountaineers. Almost all of Sochi is visible from an altitude of 700 meters above sea level. And among its residents and guests for many years there has been an opinion that in clear weather one can see the distant Turkish coast from the tower on Mount Akhun.

Having made a short trip along the trail descending from Mount Akhun, you can get to another, no less popular object - Agurskoye gorge. A unique cascade of three waterfalls, one steeper than the other, surrounded by steep ledges - what could be more mysterious and more beautiful? On the way to the legendary Eagle Rocks, where, according to legend, Prometheus was chained, there are many interesting places: "The Grotto of Love", "The Devil's Hole", and, finally, the three-meter sculpture of the hero who gave people fire.
