Holland tulip fields
Elegant tulips have become a kind of symbol of the Netherlands. The first bulb was planted in this country at the end of the 16th century, and a few decades later, real tulip mania began throughout Europe.
Now in Holland there are several huge tulip plantations. To admire the most colorful fields, it is worth taking a special flower path. This 60-kilometer route passes through cozy Dutch villages, gardens and beaches.
The Keukenhof Park in the small town of Lisse, located between Leiden and Haarlem, is considered to be the pearl of the flower road. The park is only open during the spring months. More than 4 million tulips are grown here, but you can also see other flowers - crocuses, hyacinths, daffodils, hydrangeas and even orchids.
Lavender fields of Provence
A walk in a lavender field is a combination of business and pleasure: the delicate purple flowers of lavender have a charming, soothing scent. Now lavender grows in many countries, but the most famous fields are recognized in Provence in the south of France.
Lavender fields are spread over nearly the entire area. The most famous are located in the Rhone Valley, on the Valensole plateau and in the Luberon hills. It is also worth noting the medieval abbey of Senanque, built in the 12th century and immersed in lavender fields.
Lavender in Provence blooms around June-July, and in August the harvest begins, coinciding with colorful festivals and carnivals.
Sunflower fields of Tuscany
Bright sunflowers symbolize summer and sun. They can be found in almost any city, but it is in Italian Tuscany that huge sunflower fields are spread. They bloom mainly in July, when the country is hot enough and the temperature exceeds 30 degrees.
Sunflower fields surround small old villages and towns that are also worth a visit. Among them it is worth noting Vinci - the birthplace of the great Leonardo, the medieval fortress of Monteriggioni and San Gimignano, famous for its city towers.
Daffodil fields in the English Cotswolds
The white and lemon flowers of daffodils appear in early spring and herald the awakening of nature after a long winter. Wild daffodil fields can be seen in the Cotswolds Hills, Gloucestershire, England.
The so-called daffodil trail is only 16 kilometers long and passes through forest glades and ancient villages.
The Cotswolds are called one of the most beautiful regions of Great Britain for a reason. In addition to picturesque villages, daffodil fields and hills with grazing sheep, there are many historical sites here. Of particular note is the Romanesque Abbey of Tewkesbury and the main town of Gloucester, famous for its Gothic cathedral.

Ranunculus fields in California
California has its own Carlsbad - the so-called seaside resort 56 kilometers from San Diego. This town is known for its amazing fields of ranunculus, double flowers from the genus of buttercups.
In Carlsbad, California, a rare species of giant ranunculus is grown. Admire the huge fields of pink, orange, red and even burgundy flowers in March-April.
Tourists are invited to visit the flower farm - while walking through the ranunculus field itself, or ride in a special tractor with a trailer.
Nemophil fields in Japan
Nemophila is also called American forget-me-not or blue-eyed because of its small white and blue flowers. This plant is native to North America, but the most famous nemophila field is found in Japan, in Hitachi Park on the island of Honshu.
In May, you can admire the blue sea of nemophilus, smoothly turning into the Pacific Ocean. In total, Hitachi Park grows more than 4 million nemophila, but also other flowers, including daffodils and tulips.
