Kemer is a small tourist town located west of Antalya, between the villages of Beldibi and Camyuva. The coast is mesmerizing with its landscapes: the steep slopes of the Beydaglari mountain range, pine groves and pebble beaches contrast with the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Kemer is ideal for families.
Most of the tourists who come to Kemer are content with little: they enjoy the warm sea and the dazzling sun. For those who prefer active holidays, there is also something to do in Kemer.

Diving
The Mediterranean Sea is not as interesting for divers as the Red Sea, however, among tourists who come to the resorts of the Lycian coast and the Turkish Riviera, there are many who want to scuba dive into the depths of the sea. In summer, shoals of tuna, schools of dolphins and seals approach the Turkish shores. In the vicinity of Kemer, when diving, you can also see large turtles.
There are 18 scuba diving spots near Kemer. The most popular place for diving is the wreck "Paris". Diving enthusiasts will surely visit the dive sites around the Three Islands. This name was given to a group of four islands, since, in fact, the smallest piece of land included in this archipelago is not visible to observers from the coast. There are reefs and underwater caves near the Three Islands.
In the suburb of Kemer, Tekirova, you can find several wonderful diving centers (Blue World Diving Center, Tekirova Diving Center), where they offer diving lessons not only for adults, but also for children. Kids over 8 years old are allowed to dive under the supervision of an instructor.
Diving tours, which cost about 40 euros per person, involve a yacht trip to one of the local dive sites. Usually, divers make two dives, after which lunch awaits them on the boat. There are separate offers for professionals in diving clubs. Experienced divers can rent a yacht for a day and go somewhere further offshore, where mostly beginners dive. The price of such tours starts from 130 euros.
Fun on the water
Diving is not the only sea fun that Kemer offers to its guests. Also in Kemer you can do:
- snorkeling. This is the same diving, only with a mask and fins. Snorkelers usually do not dive deep, but swim on the surface of the water, observing the marine life. For tourists dreaming of snorkeling, we recommend joining diving groups. Fish can also be seen on Phaselis beach;
- surfing. Surfing is good on windy days when waves of 1 to 4 meters rise on the sea. Many hotels have their own surf schools. Surfing clubs at the Doubletree by Hilton Antalya Kemer, Kemer Barut Collection and some others have received good recommendations;
- fishing - sea and lake. The second type of fishing is especially popular in Kemer. Tourists are taken to the Ulupinar trout farm, where a fishing rod and bait are given out. Knowledgeable people recommend taking your own bait, because you risk not catching anything with a local one and pay local workers for the right to take pictures with someone else's catch;
- rafting. Numerous travel agencies offer rafting or kayaking on the Kapruchay mountain river. A group of brave athletes is accompanied by an instructor.
With children, be sure to visit several local water parks, which have the ability to ensure a good mood for the whole day.
Fun on land
What are those tourists who are tired of lying on the beach doing in Kemer? They go on excursion tours. Not far from Kemer are the ancient cities of Phaselis and Olympos. The road to them does not take long, so such excursions are recommended even for families with small children. Older children can be hiked in the canyons. A walk along the beautiful Goynuk canyon takes several hours. Part of the path will need to be walked, and part of the path is allowed to ride on bicycles or ATVs. Tour participants pay for their rent separately. There are also some places in the canyon that can be overcome by swimming.
Another canyon closest to Kemer is called Keprulu. It is located on the territory of a large nature reserve of the same name. You can see local natural (about 6 hundred different types of plants, more than a hundred species of birds, various small mammals, one and a half meter turtles) and man-made (two ancient bridges, the ruins of the ancient town of Selge) attractions during a walk in the park.
Children of all ages will love Aktur Park in Antalya. What is not there: a variety of slides and attractions, swings, trampolines, racing cars, a Ferris wheel. For adults and adolescents, there are extreme roller coasters, from the descent from which the soul sinks into the heels.
