Alanya is one of the most famous Turkish resorts on the Mediterranean coast. After the opening of Gazipasa Airport, which is located near the city, Alanya's popularity among tourists has increased several times. In Alanya, you can find long, spacious beaches, where there is enough space for absolutely all visitors.
Large hotel complexes located in the suburbs of the city are large in size and more like miniature settlements. In the center of Alanya there are also hotels and guesthouses, but modest ones, marked with three or four stars. There are many family tourists traveling with children, as Alanya is considered the warmest and most comfortable resort on the Turkish Riviera. The water here quickly warms up in May and is in no hurry to cool down in September-October. For the younger generation, many amusement parks and water parks have been built in Alanya.
The only question that worries travelers who decide to go on vacation to Turkey is how to get to Alanya.
Routes to Alanya
The traveler has the opportunity to choose how to come to Alanya from Moscow and St. Petersburg:
- by plane to Antalya, where the international airport is located, and then by bus to the resort of Alanya;
- flight directly directly to Alanya, where there is also an airport, which, however, accepts either charters or domestic Turkish flights;
- by ferry from Crimea or from Sochi to the nearest Turkish city, and then by bus or train to Alanya.
If you are traveling with small children or elderly parents, it is better to plan the route in such a way that there are no long journeys after arrival. This means that it is worth looking for a flight directly to Alanya. However, it may happen that tickets will only be for flights to Antalya: after all, this is a more popular destination, because those who go to neighboring towns, for example, Kemer and Side, fly to Antalya. You should not be upset, you will not stay at the airport and train station, but will very quickly get to your hotel by public transport or taxi.
The option with a ferry, trains and buses is not even worth considering, since a tourist will spend more than a day on the way to Alanya.
