Other interesting places in Trakai are numerous Karaite restaurants. Karaites, former residents of the Crimean peninsula, came to Lithuanian lands in the 16th century. They have adapted well to local conditions, created their own community in Trakai and are actively involved in the restaurant business. This is another tourist highlight of the place.

Heart of Lithuania
