The larger this or that region, the more difficult it is to describe it, to tell what it is rich, what it is famous for, what natural and man-made sights, monuments to pay attention to first of all, which ones to leave for the next trip. For example, who will take the liberty of identifying the most interesting excursions in the Urals, and even very succinctly tell about them.

Below we present a small selection of certain Ural excursion routes that may be of interest to various categories of travelers. The tales of the famous Pavel Bazhov, who managed to describe the beauty and wealth of the Urals, for many are decisive in the choice of directions. Others, on the contrary, fearing to break away from civilization, prefer walks in the most beautiful cities of the region - Yekaterinburg, Zlatoust, Chelyabinsk.

Fabulous excursions in the Urals

Combined routes are popular, where acquaintance with the historical and architectural sights of cities and villages is interspersed with trips to natural monuments and beautiful places of the Urals. Such tours have very beautiful names, like "Ural Around the World", "Tales of the Urals", and last from 5 to 10 days.

Most of them start in Yekaterinburg, where guests are offered a sightseeing tour of the city, including a visit to the following historical, cultural and religious sites:

  • Historical square;
  • the temple, erected on the site of the death of the last Russian emperor Nicholas II and his family;
  • halls of the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, including the Kasli cast-iron pavilion and a hall with a demonstration of the skill of local stone-cutters.

The next day, a "round-the-world" trip around the Urals begins, tourists are introduced to the memorial house of Pavel Bazhov, a museum of history and archeology, the main exhibit of which is the Shigir idol, the world's oldest wooden sculpture. They conduct an excursion to the monastery on Ganina Yama, which is now one of the most famous centers of pilgrimage in the Urals.

A walk along Miass is combined with a boat trip to Lake Turgoyak, a visit to Vera Island. Among the amazing natural monuments, tourists will find the Kungur Ice Cave, Olenyi Ruchyi, one of the most famous parks in the Urals, places associated with the activities of the famous industrial dynasties - the Strogonovs and Demidovs.

For example, the excursion "To the Motherland of Danila the Master" involves a trip to the village of Cheremisskoye, a visit to the Medvedevskoye deposit, participation in a sapphire mining master class.
