The first love
The very first resort where our compatriots were drawn to a beach vacation in Egypt was Hurghada. The city has gained particular popularity among family travelers and those for whom animation and "all inclusive" is important. The beaches of Hurghada are perfect for young tourists. The shores of the Red Sea are mostly sandy, and you can enter the water without fear of sharp corals or sea urchins.
Hotel beaches are equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas free of charge for guests, while municipal equipment for recreation will have to be rented. There are not too many serious divers at the resort, although several schools that teach the art of diving are still open. Tourists interested in the underwater world are offered excursions on a submarine with a glass bottom.
Romantic paradise
Maccabi Bay is located just 30 km from Hurghada. This resort is popular with fans of peace and tranquility away from the noisy crowds. It is a little cooler here than in Sharm or Dahab, and even at the height of the summer season, the air temperature rarely exceeds + 33 ° C.
The hotels in the resort are new and fit into the 4- and 5-star standards with dignity. There are few entertainments and they are all located on the territory of hotel complexes.
Divers travel to Maccabi Bay for two coral reefs and many shipwrecks. The beaches at the resort are covered with clean, fine sand and only some of them will require special rubber shoes due to the coral formations just off the coast.

- Going on a beach vacation in Egypt, even in the height of summer, do not forget to bring at least one warm jacket or sweater. Temperatures can drop significantly at night, especially if you sign up for a desert excursion.
- Drink bottled water and avoid ice in your drinks.
- For families with children, choose a hotel with water attractions. The entrance to them is usually free for guests, but guests have to fork out to ride down the hill.
Weather features of a beach holiday in Egypt
The climate of Egypt is called tropical, desert, and most of the local beach resorts in the summer suffer from intense heat:
- It is best to fly to Dahab from March to early June or in the second half of autumn. In winter, the air temperature can drop to + 20 ° C, and sunbathing becomes not very comfortable. In the middle of summer, on the other hand, sunbathing and swimming is hampered by the intense heat. Thermometers can show + 40 ° С and + 29 ° С in air and water, respectively.
- Late autumn and winter are not the best times for a trip to Hurghada either. At this time, strong piercing winds blow from the sea. It can be quite hot at the height of summer, but if + 35 ° С is not a hindrance for you, then you will like it on local beaches in July. The best time to relax here is spring and the first half of autumn.
- In Sharm, there are two seasons - winter, with fairly mild temperatures during the day and cool nights, and summer, when the sun can cause problems with too high activity. It is optimal to fly here also in autumn and spring and enjoy + 28 ° С and + 26 ° С in the air and in the water, respectively.
When planning tours to Egypt, do not overestimate your capabilities and try to choose the optimal time in terms of weather. At the height of summer, not only a beach holiday will be a test, but also excursions, without which no vacation in the land of the pharaohs can do.
