When a person plans a beach vacation, he hardly thinks about Belarus even secondarily. There is no sea, and logic dictates that it is better to sunbathe to go to distant countries to the overseas shores. But the residents of the republic fundamentally disagree with this point of view and willingly invite all skeptics to visit. The lakes of Belarus can give a hundred points ahead of many seas, and the local landscapes will make you feel completely happy from contemplating the surrounding beauty.
Where to go to sunbathe?
Tours to Belarus, in the minds of the majority of travelers, are recreation in sanatoriums, where since Soviet times they have retained a good attitude to their own work and friendliness to guests. But changes, fortunately, are taking place, and although summer beach vacations in Belarus have only recently become a popular tourist destination, the pace of its development cannot but rejoice:
- The picturesque Zaslavskoe reservoir, located 10 km north-west of the capital of Belarus, is called the Minsk Sea. Photos taken on its beaches can compete with pictures with Bulgarian or Montenegrin landscapes.
- On the Braslav Lakes, the tourist infrastructure allows you to organize recreation in a variety of genres. Hotels and holiday homes, children's camps and tourist centers have been built here. Even students and young families will like the prices for accommodation and meals, and the options for active entertainment attract the most restless and athletic to the beach holidays in Belarus on the Braslav Lakes.
- Naroch is not only the largest lake in the country, but also one of the oldest beach resorts. The first vacationers appeared on the shores of the lake at the beginning of the twentieth century.
- The area of Sorochanskiy lakes was chosen by fans of ideal Slavic landscapes. The main advantages of this area are the beautiful surrounding views, clear water and numerous opportunities to fully merge with nature. Even motorboats are not moored on the shores of the Sorochansk Lakes: they are prohibited in order to maintain the ecological balance of the region.
The sea near Minsk: rest in the native land
Residents of Belarus love their Minsk Sea and often come to its shores with the whole family on vacation or on weekends. This artificial reservoir was built to regulate the flow of water in the Svisloch River and to combat spring floods. Its length is almost 10 km, and its width reaches 4.5 km.
Summer recreation sites are located on the shores of the Minsk Sea. The most popular are the Yunost health resort, which can accommodate up to 250 people, and three health resorts - Lazurny, Sputnik and Svitanok.

On the shores of the Zaslavskoe reservoir, you can rent a boat or catamaran, go water skiing or a motorcycle, play beach volleyball or football. From the pier in Zaslavl, excursions go on boats and motor ships, which are fashionable to rent for any event.
