Wadi Ryan Falls
To get to your destination, you need to find Lake Karun, and then move along its banks along the highway. When you reach the place where the lake ends, you should turn left and then, in 15 minutes, several picturesque lakes of the Wadi Ryan Nature Reserve will appear before the eyes of travelers.
Here you can witness how a small river with crystal clear water, meandering through reed thickets, flows out of the first lake (it reaches 1 km in diameter, from the side it may seem that it lies in a large sandy bowl) and collapses in a series of low water cascades (their height - about 4 m). It is worth noting that it is in this place that this river flows into the second lake.
All tourists, without exception, strive to see this natural miracle, because local waterfalls are the only ones in the vast desert. If you wish, you can go fishing in local lakes (they are rich in fish; for example, some lucky ones catch 60-kilogram catfish), but hunting is an activity that is prohibited in the reserve.
Travelers will find a cafe near the waterfalls, and a kilometer from it - a town specially designed for tourists who want to stay in this area for the night or even a few days (there are bungalow houses made of reed).
Artificial waterfall in the hotel
Tourists will have another opportunity to see an interesting, albeit man-made, water body - for this they should stay at the “Hilton Waterfalls” hotel (22 km away from the airport in Sharm el-Sheikh; its location is a hill) to get the opportunity to admire an artificial waterfall and relax on the beach, the descent to which is carried out by cable car (a mini-trip will allow you to enjoy the opening panorama).
