One of the largest Russian ports, Vladivostok was founded in 1860 and built on a peninsula and islands in the Sea of Japan. The city is decorated with the embankments of Vladivostok, where memorials have been built in memory of the most important events in its history and the days of the city and other holidays are celebrated.

The most famous and popular Vladivostok embankments:

  • Korabelnaya with a memorial complex erected in memory of the first builders of the city.
  • Tsesarevich embankment. The youngest and most modern. Its construction was completed in 2012.
  • The sports embankment can be seen even from space. The largest stadium in the city "Dynamo", which appeared on the map of Vladivostok after the end of the Great Patriotic War, is located near Pogranichnaya, Zapadnaya and Batareinaya streets. In the 50s of the last century, a beach with sports grounds was equipped here and was named Sports Harbor.

On the embankments, residents of Vladivostok relax and play sports, make dates and arrange memorable wedding photo sessions. Here, creative groups of the city and visiting celebrities perform on improvised concert venues.

The memorial complex on Korabelnaya embankment is the pride of the city. It includes several obelisks, among which stands out a 14-meter sail directed into the sky in honor of the landing of the transport "/>

A memorial ship "Red Pennant" was put on the eternal berth nearby. Its history began in pre-revolutionary Petersburg, and in Vladivostok, the ship became the first ship of the young Soviet republic in the Pacific Ocean, carrying border service.

The ensemble is closed by a submarine, whose crew made a heroic transition to the Arctic during the Great Patriotic War and bravely fought there with enemy ships.

In the center of the Memorial on Vladivostok's Korabelnaya embankment, the Eternal Flame does not go out in memory of the fallen heroes who defended their homeland.

Gorgeous views of the Pacific bay open from the Tsesarevich Embankment, which appeared on the city map only a few years ago. It is part of the territory of the Far Eastern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair and is a harmonious ensemble that has been masterfully integrated into the historical appearance of the city center.

Numerous cafes and shopping centers are open on the embankment, and ample parking is available nearby.
