Are you one of those who are interested in the waterfalls of Belarus? Surely, you will be gladdened by the fact that this country has one such water body. It is he who refutes the existing opinion that this area is famous only for lakes and forests.
Waterfall on the Vyata river
To find this waterfall (width - 10 m, height - 2 m), which is called Miory (this waterfall owes this name to the area in which it is located), travelers will be able to near the village of Prudniki (1 km from it, if you move in the southeast direction). While resting here, everyone will have the opportunity to breathe in the clean air, enjoy the rural landscapes and soak up the rays of the gentle sun.
Single male tourists will be interested to know that one legend is connected with the Miory waterfall - you need to “go” into the waterfall and “pagukats” a girl, then, as they say, she will become yours forever. Those who wish can swim, but caution should be exercised by those who want to stand under the streams of water (the jets falling from a 2-meter height have a hydromassage effect) - the bottom is strewn with stones, which creates the risk of stumbling and injuring your legs. And you can take an example from the Belarusians and go fishing - they claim that roach, pike, perch, eel are found in the local waters.
In the 19th century, a water mill functioned in this area, and in the 20th century - a cardboard factory (local aspen was used for raw materials) and a power station (it supplied electricity to nearby points). But over time, this infrastructure collapsed, so today in its place you can see ruins in the form of stone structures and a dam.
It is worth noting that in 2011, investors were offered to finance a project for the improvement of Miory waterfall (creation of a recreation site with a parking, a beach, food and accommodation facilities, places for fireplaces and pitching tents; repair of the road that leads to the waterfall), but unfortunately, it has not yet been implemented. As for today's beautification, travelers will find benches, a toilet, a gazebo and awnings here. And if we talk about the surroundings, then travelers may be interested in the old wooden chapel, manor, temple and stables.
