Are you interested in the waterfalls of Canada? Organized excursions or independent trips to them will allow you to make a close acquaintance with them.
Niagara Falls
The Canadian side offers a beautiful view of the falls, so guests of Niagara Falls will be delighted with the excellent conditions created for relaxation and acquaintance with it. It is worth noting that in winter, guests of Canada are invited to Niagara Falls so that they can attend the festival of lights. Those who wish can go on a boat tour of the Maid of the Mist (tourists are given red raincoats): its cost from the Canadian coast is $ 15.
From Toronto, you can get to your destination by public transport from the TorontoCoach Terminal bus station (a ticket will cost $ 15-17), and from Niagara Falls station to the waterfall - by a local bus (ticket price $ 5).
Virginia
The 90-meter waterfall (its width is more than 250 m) is one of the attractions of the park, famous for its hot sulfur springs and karst caves (there are underground rivers). It is also home to 180 species of birds and 40 species of mammals, and those who wish can go kayaking, fishing and rafting, as well as walk along the paved hiking trails. There are viewing platforms around the Virginia Falls, which are worth climbing.
Takakkau
The waters of the Takakkau fall down from a 380-meter height, and since the waterfall “feeds” on melting ice, it “lives” on warm days (in winter you can observe only a narrow stream).
Montmorency
The 84-meter waterfall is a powerful roaring wall of foamy water: around it, travelers will find trails leading up to the bridge, the panorama of what they see from which will be a reward for their efforts (the ascent cannot be classified as light).
Rideau Falls
Rideau includes 2 waterfalls, and between them is the Green Island, in the south of which you can see the old town hall, and in the west - the headquarters of the National Research Council. You can admire the Rideau Falls from the observation decks of the park and during a boat trip on an excursion boat.
It is worth coming here in winter: due to the insufficient power of the water flow, the waterfalls freeze, and tourists will have the opportunity to admire the peculiar ice sculptures of various shapes.
James Bruce
The 840-meter waterfall was named after its discoverer: it consists of 2 streams, one of which is constant throughout the year, and the other periodically dries up.
