Individual heraldic symbols of Russian cities amaze with their splendor, solemnity, the scope of the author's creative thought. One of such striking examples is the coat of arms of the Krasnodar Territory in its full version. The image contains almost all the attributes that the main heraldic symbol of the city should have.

Description of the coat of arms of the region

The modern official symbol of the Krasnodar Territory is based on the historical coat of arms that belonged to the Kuban region, which existed in these territories. The coat of arms has a complex compositional structure, it consists of many important elements, including:

  • a shield, divided into two fields, each with its own images;
  • crowning the shield - the prince's crown, standard and eagle of imperial Russia;
  • four azure banners with the monograms of the Russian emperors;
  • ribbons of the Order of Lenin, tied with a large bow.

Each of the elements, in turn, can be decomposed into smaller parts and symbols. For example, the same shield is horizontally divided into gold and green fields. In the upper, golden field, there is an emerging eagle, the symbol of the Russian Empire. The bird of prey itself is depicted in black, with golden beaks and protruding scarlet tongues.

A part of the fortress wall with towers, loopholes and open gates is drawn in the lower field of the shield. Between the towers, there is an additional drawing of a golden feather, a type of cold weaponry, and two bunchuks made in silver. The bunchuk are a staff with a ponytail attached and symbolize power.

Banners - beauty and symbolism

These elements, crowning the composition of the coat of arms of the Krasnodar Territory, deserve special attention. They are made in azure color with gold embroidery. On the central standard, you can see the monogram "A II", which is associated with Alexander II, who played an important role in the development of these territories.

The banners bear the same monograms, which experts in Russian history will quickly decipher. The letters hide the names of Empress Catherine, as well as the Russian emperors Alexander I, Paul I, Nicholas I. Each of the monograms is surrounded by wreaths of oak and laurel branches, symbolizing strength and victory.

The banners look very beautiful, thanks to the selection of colors - azure for the panels and gold are used in the image. The last color is present in the embroidered pattern; fringes, tassels, and tops are also shown in gold.

The image of scarlet ribbons is somewhat out of the general picture, especially if you know what they are connected with. The authors of the sketch tried to combine the symbols of imperial Russia and Soviet power.
