There are five air gates in the lists of Crimea's airports and aviation - today the fastest and most convenient way to get to the peninsula. The main airport is located in the capital of Crimea, Simferopol, and the travel time from Moscow and other Russian cities ranges from 2.5 hours or more, depending on the distance and possible transfers.
Crimea International Airport
The airport in Simferopol has international status on the peninsula. It is located 12 km north-west of the city center and temporarily accepts only flights from Russia.
The history of the airport began in 1936, when land was allocated for its construction by a special government decree. The terminal building was commissioned in 1957, and three years later the construction of a new concrete runway was completed. Thanks to the development of space aviation, the runway length of the main Crimea airport was later increased to 3,700 meters so that the air harbor could receive space shuttles. New "/>
Reconstructions and perspectives
In the spring of 2015, a new Terminal A was opened at the Simferopol airport, and the former Terminal B was reconstructed and refurbished. Today, the air harbor is capable of receiving up to 6 million people annually. The airport infrastructure offers departing passengers a comfortable time before boarding. There are cafes, waiting rooms and shops in the terminals. Six baggage claim belts are installed in the arrivals area, which avoids queues.

Simferopol accepts on its field the boards of various airlines:
