There is a popular tourist route in Russia that introduces travelers to ancient Russian cities. In such places, historical monuments and architectural sights have been preserved, folk crafts are alive and traditional crafts have been revived. Many of these ancient cities are located on the Volga, and therefore cruises along the Golden Ring on motor ships are carried out in spring and summer.
However, you can visit the cities of the Golden Ring by bus or train. In this case, the season does not play a special role and no less beautiful Kostroma, Yaroslavl or Vladimir appear before guests at Christmas, and in the first days of spring, and during traditional autumn fairs.
