The holiday season in the Philippines is available throughout the year, but going here even in the most favorable period, you will not be insured against tropical downpours, because the weather on the islands is unpredictable (it is always hot and humid here). However, the best time to visit the Philippines is December - May.
Features of rest in Philippine resorts by seasons
Dry and cool weather on the islands prevails in October-February (+ 24-29 degrees), dry and hot - March-May (+35 degrees), and the rainy season - June-September (+ 24-33 degrees). But, since each region has its own weather characteristics, then choosing the right resort, you can have a great rest at any time of the year. It is worth noting that the northern regions, together with the island of Luzon (where Manila is located), are prone to typhoons and tsunamis.
- Spring: It is quite hot during this time of the year, but it may rain on some islands in May. But this is not an obstacle for swimming: a rather high water temperature (+30 degrees) can become a problem.
- Summer: This time of year is characterized by rainy and hot days. In the summer, you will hardly be able to relax - the sea warms up to the state of fresh milk, the water blooms strongly and exudes an unpleasant odor (it's all the fault of the algae thrown to the shore due to the waves of the sea), and the abundance of precipitation can lead to floods and mudflows, and in some regions it can and typhoons also hit.
- Autumn: Almost all autumn is hot, but it can rain almost every day. The eastern regions of the islands of Panay, Negras, Cebu and Mindoro are subject to less precipitation at this time of the year. And only in November the weather conditions become more favorable.
- Winter: This time of the year is considered the high season, ideal for a beach holiday, but even at this time of the year, rain showers are possible at the resorts located in the east of the archipelago.
Beach season in the Philippines
The beach season on the islands lasts all year round: even in the winter months, the water temperature does not drop below +25 degrees. But in the summer for swimming, not very favorable conditions can be created due to winds that cause storms at sea, although the water temperature is within + 28-30 degrees.
The Philippines has white sand beaches, resorts with a vibrant nightlife (White Beach, Boracay), deserted islets, coastal surf camps.
Surfing
Surfing opportunities are available on almost any island, but as far as the ideal period for surfing is concerned, it all depends on the region. For example, it is advisable to go to the east coast in November-April, and to the western regions of the archipelago in summer (at this time there are stable winds). You can go to Siargao at any time of the year, but for the most “demonstrative” waves you should come here in September-October.
Diving
The best time for diving is November-May (visibility under water reaches 50 m). The main dive sites are concentrated in Palawan, Mindoro, Cebu, Barakay, Batangas. Plunging into the depths of the sea, you will get acquainted with the bright and spectacular underwater world - coral gardens, blue, tropical fish, giant sea turtles, whale sharks, holothurians, barracudas.
Holidays in the Philippine Islands will allow you to enjoy nature, sea air, magnificent beaches, excellent service.
