One of the largest states in Europe, Germany has access to two seas at once - the Baltic and the North. A wide variety of tourist destinations are widely developed in the country, including the seas of Germany with beach vacations and ample opportunities for excursion and walking programs.
Northern or Baltic?
Any German schoolchild can give the answer to the question which seas are in Germany. But what are the differences between these two reservoirs, guides on geography are best answered:

However, the situation in the North Sea looks even more inappropriate for a beach holiday. And yet the Germans use the beaches of their part of the Baltic and northern waters for their intended purpose and in the warmest season - in July-August - not only sunbathe, but also swim in the salty and cold waves. The most popular Baltic resorts in Germany are located on the island of Rügen, where, in addition to clean beaches, tourists are given the opportunity to study local architectural monuments of different years. By the way, the Germans themselves call the Baltic the East Sea, like the Swedes, Finns and Danes.
Along the coast
In the North Sea, despite the harsh name, there are also beach resorts. For example, the island of Helgoland is quite suitable for those who prefer freshness and coolness to the unbearable heat in the tropics. These seasoned people, when asked which sea washes Germany, enthusiastically answer - the North, because it is here that ecologically clean beaches are located, and entry to this piece of land is prohibited not only for cars, but even for bicycles.
The shores of the North Sea in Germany are lowlands and swamps, which are completely hidden under the water by strong tides. Due to the deposition of sedimentary bottom rocks on the coast of the North Sea, there are areas of the most fertile soils, which are successfully used by local farmers. There are humid and mild winters and a very short summer, during which the thermometer rarely rises above +20 degrees.
