Food in Mexico is represented by rather spicy dishes (a large amount of spices are used for their preparation), which are not distinguished by their low calorie content.

Food in Mexico

Mexican food is characterized by the presence of chili peppers, cumin, oregano, hot dressings and sauces. The diet of Mexicans is made up of vegetables, legumes, liquid and dry soups, meat, fish, seafood.

It is worth noting that Mexicans do not use spoons for food consumption - for this purpose they use tortillas: they scoop sauces with them, and at the end of the meal they eat their “spoon”. In addition, these tortillas act as delicious snacks - corn, cheese, avocado, minced meat, tomatoes, beans and other fillings are wrapped in them.

If you come to Mexico, be sure to try the wheat tortilla, which is usually wrapped with a meat filling (burrito); deep-fried pork (carnitas); pork or chicken broth with spices, herbs and corn (pozole); corn chips with green tomato sauce (chilaquiles); goat meat or lamb cooked with agave (barbacoa) leaves.
