Mariupol is not considered a tourist city - it lost this status many years ago. Due to two large factories located within the city, the local air has become very spoiled, and the sea coast has lost its former freshness and beauty. However, this does not prevent not very numerous tourists from coming to the city by the sea in search of at least some kind of summer vacation. The best sandy beaches of Mariupol are located outside the city limits, and locals will always tell you where to go.
City beach of Mariupol
Of course, there is also a city beach in Mariupol. The coast stretches for many kilometers, and all this time the sand remains the same, and the seabed changes from sandy and sandy-pebble to rocky. Locals prefer not to relax on the city beach, as it is located almost side-by-side with the railway, which is reflected in the cleanliness of the sand and the general atmosphere. Swimming is not accepted here because the seabed is unpredictable and the water is highly polluted. However, some vacationers manage to enjoy swimming here, although they prefer not to dive once again.
Gerbil for visitors
All the best beaches in Mariupol are located outside the city limits, but another city beach is extremely popular among the local population. It is called "Peschanka", and there is a bus in its direction every 15 minutes from the city center. You can reach it in 15-20 minutes. The beach area is very impressive. There are several small hotels nearby. There are changing cabins, but not very large numbers. The beach has a ton of food and drink options. The coastline is divided into two parts: an open beach and a small grove where you can hide from the most brutal sun. Tourists of the city most often come here when they want to swim and sunbathe.
Summer vacation on the beaches of Mariupol
The following beaches, located in the villages near Mariupol, are also popular:
- beaches of the Melekino region;
- beaches of the Belosarayskaya Spit area;
- the beaches of the Vinogradnoye district.
On all Mariupol beaches, the sand is fine and light, but the seabed is very different. The "Mariupol" sea is considered to be very shallow: the water in many places reaches only to the waist. The beaches are dotted with shells and multi-colored pebbles, and the waters of the Azov Sea are practically not salty and highly iodized, so they help to cure and prevent many diseases.
The local beaches are constantly visited by vendors who offer food and drinks, but changing cabins and toilets are not very good here. Most often, for these purposes, you need to go to the territory of nearby boarding houses and hotels. Rest in Mariupol will turn out to be budgetary, but quite pleasant if you choose the place wisely.
