Description of the attraction
Stone "mushrooms" are the most interesting natural phenomena. The "caps" of these so-called "mushrooms" are composed of plates of different composition. Loose, porous formations make up their "legs". These "mushrooms" rise to a height of five meters, the cap in diameter is equal to about two meters. The most impressive "mushroom" is five meters high. In girth, it is completely unreal.
The upper parts of the mushrooms are slabs of different composition, their age refers to the Jurassic period. At the bottom of the mushrooms, earth and stones are mixed. The stone slabs that were on the surface remained almost intact, intact, and the earthy formations that filled the cracks between them underwent erosion over time. Over time, this mass was completely washed out, only under the stone slabs it remained intact. Stone "mushrooms", according to geologists, speak of the presence of Quaternary glaciers in Crimea.
These natural structures are covered with legends. Finding them without outside help is difficult enough. The location of these "mushrooms" is the Sotera river valley. Translated from Greek Soter - "savior". In the Middle Ages, a village and a local temple were located on this place. For many years this place was deserted.
