The Musical Theater has united under its roof two legendary masters - reformers of the stage art: Konstantin Sergeevich Stanislavsky and Vladimir Ivanovich Nemirovich-Danchenko. Great directors were not at all satisfied with opera performances, similar to a "concert in costumes." They strove for the content and emotionality of opera performances. The Stanislavsky system, which became famous all over the world, determined the unique style of the Musical Theater.
And nowadays, the performances of the theater are distinguished by liveliness, piercing of artistic images. Striving for realism and naturalness in performances makes the theater's performances unusually close to the viewer. The theater's repertoire includes classical productions - Swan Lake, The Barber of Seville, Betrothal in a Monastery - side by side with modern productions. Many of the theater's performances have become major events in theatrical life, in the vocal and choreographic arts. The performances feature the best vocalists, jazz singers and dancers of our time.
Opera and ballet performances of the theater were shown with great success in different countries of the world: USA, Italy, Germany, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands and Great Britain. The theater considers educational activities to be an important aspect of its activities.
