Description of the attraction
The Infantry Museum was founded in 1982. It contains a rich collection of items belonging to infantrymen, as well as information on the activities and development of infantry units of the army since the beginning of the 18th century. Up to the present day.
The museum is located in two buildings on the territory of the old barracks. The exhibition area of 2000 m2 contains a wide variety of exhibits, incl. and military equipment.
The exhibition is complemented by a collection of 151 photographs of soldiers awarded with Mannerheim Crosses and medals.
The exhibition tells about the life of a soldier both on the battlefield and in peacetime in garrisons and training grounds.
To services of visitors there is a cafe and a souvenir shop, where you can buy military-themed badges and postcards.
