Description of the attraction

Not far from the region of Ankara called Ulus, where to this day excavations of the recently found ruins of Roman baths are being carried out, there is one of the most beautiful parks in the capital - Genclik Park, or as it is also called "Youth Park". Genclik Park is the oldest and at the same time the most popular recreation place for residents of Ankara. It was completely renewed last year. Its area is about thirty hectares. You can walk along its alleys or hike to the Ethnographic Museum located nearby.

The park itself is very original - the central place in it is occupied by the lake, around which there are various recreation areas and attractions. All this is beautifully illuminated by color-changing lanterns. Here you can not only pleasantly relax, but also experience all kinds of water activities. The park is quite crowded in the evening; there is an amusement park with attractions, cafeterias, fountains and other joys of life.

You should definitely go to the Ankara "Ramadan Festival". The festival is held in Genchlik Park until September 8th. There is also a book fair, contests, discussions on various topics, concerts, you can buy various souvenirs and handicrafts.
