Description of the attraction

The Krasny Bereg estate belonged in the 19th century to Lieutenant General Mikhail Gatovsky, who handed it over as a dowry to his daughter Maria, who married a wealthy landowner Vikenty Kozell-Poklevsky. The new owner of the Krasny Bereg was so fascinated by the estate on the banks of the Dobosna River that he wanted to build a unique palace for his beloved wife, striking in its magnificence.

In keeping with the spirit of the Silver Age, the palace was built in 1890-1893 in the Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance styles. The fairytale palace amazes with its unusual silhouette: many turrets, mansards, bay windows, sharp-angled tongs. An amazing harmony and variety of styles reigns inside the palace. The suite of rooms is like a trip to exotic countries: the Arabian hall, the Romanesque hall, the hall of the era of Louis XVI. Each room is richly decorated with stucco moldings.

Not far from the manor house there is an outbuilding - a house for servants, which is not inferior to the beauty of its appearance to the palace. It is not known how gorgeous he was from the inside, but obviously the servants lived in him well.

Unfortunately, after the agricultural college was located in Krasny Bereg in Soviet times, the palace fell into disrepair. Restoration work is now underway there.

The palace stands in the middle of an English park with winding walking paths leading to the banks of the Dobosna River. Despite the naturalness of the landscape, all the trees have been carefully selected. The owner of the estate loved golden autumn, so it is better to admire the park at this wonderful time, when the colors of autumn fascinate and set you in a dreamy mood.
