Description of the attraction

The Natasha spring in Gelendzhik is an amazing natural monument located on the Mikhailovsky Pass. Today this amazingly beautiful place is a whole cultural and entertainment complex. Artificial cascades of waterfalls flowing into dams, a stream ennobled with a wild stone, bridges across the water and comfortably furnished gazebos will not leave anyone indifferent. Guests visiting the spring can not only see sturgeons and trout swimming in the backwaters, but also catch them with their own hands.

At the foot of the spring there is a sculpture of a girl holding a jug from which pure spring water pours. The spring water is very tasty and cold. This girl is the very Natasha, after whom the spring was named.

The legend of the Natasha spring can be heard today by everyone who visits it. She tells how one day a Turkish Pasha saw a girl of amazing beauty in the Caucasus, whose name was Natasha. Was it a Russian or Ukrainian girl - history is silent. Pasha fell deeply in love with the girl and decided to make her the 301st wife in his harem. It should be noted that in addition to his wives, the pasha had another 500 concubines. Natasha, who had a groom on her native land, refused the Turkish pasha. Disagreeing with the decision of the charming girl, he ordered his soldiers to bring her in no matter what. Natasha realized that resistance was useless, so she asked the Pasha for permission to climb the mountain for the last time, in order to once again look towards her homeland and pray. Pasha fulfilled her last wish. Accompanied by the soldiers, Natasha climbed the mountain and began to pray. Choosing the moment when the guards were distracted, the girl rushed down the mountain. The Pasha, angry with the soldiers, ordered them to take him to the place where the body of his beloved lay. When the pasha looked down, he saw that the girl's body had disappeared, and a spring was flowing in its place, which began to bear the name of the unfortunate girl.

The purest water from this spring is filled with the magic power of love. Not a single wedding in Gelendzhik takes place without visiting the Natasha spring and the chapel of St. Sergius of Radonezh located next to it.
