Description of the attraction
The Long Spit is the longest spit on the Yeisk Peninsula. Its length is 8 kilometers. Spit Dolgaya is a landscape natural monument of the Krasnodar Territory, it is often called the pearl of the Azov Sea. There are unique shell beaches, deep sea, freshwater lakes, rich flora and fauna of the Azov Sea and the Azov steppes. A plot of artificial pine forest has a healing effect on vacationers.
The hurricane that swept over the Sea of Azov on March 13, 1914 partially destroyed the spit. The strait and Dolgy Island was formed, which then either joined the spit or disintegrated into separate shell islands. A similar play of nature is observed even now: numerous islets disappear and appear.
At the service of vacationers Dolgaya Kosa offers a huge amount of entertainment: jet skiing, water attractions and slides, boat trips to the end of the Dolgaya Spit, fishing, barbecue, night entertainment by the fire.
Tourists are offered an extensive excursion program with a visit to the folk museum of the village of Dolzhanskaya, created by the hands of the villagers; stanitsa church; pine forest, spread out at the base of the Dolgaya Spit. Boron abounds in various types of mushrooms - boletus, honey agarics, champignons, here you can also meet a hare, a fox and even a wild boar.
