Description of the attraction
Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden, also called the Orchid Park, covers an area of approximately 2 km2. located at 163 km on Sukhumvit street outside Pattaya. It can be reached by tourist bus or taxi. The park was opened in 1980 on a site that in the middle of the last century was acquired by a married couple Pisit and Nong Nooch Tansacha for growing vegetables and fruits. The park is currently managed by the son of these people - Kampon Tansacha.
The garden is dominated by plants from Southeast Asia, the tropics of the American continent and Central Africa. The territory of the park is divided into thematic zones. The Cactus Garden and the Palm Garden are a great delight for visitors. The organizers of the Nong Nooch Park set themselves the goal of collecting the largest number of palm species in the world in one place. A magnificent tropical greenhouse, where various types of orchids are grown. You can also buy them here. A little further, there is a large French park, which was created in the image of Versailles. Behind it there is the Stonehenge Garden, in the center of which is a copy of this megalithic monument. Not to be missed is the Potted Garden, decorated with sculptures made from ceramic vessels.
In addition to walking in the park, guests are offered a number of interesting entertainments. Several times a day, performances are organized in the park, where actors introduce tourists to religious rites, dance, demonstrate Thai martial arts, and do massages. A unique spectacle is the elephant show. The giants work wonders: they play football, paint on T-shirts that can be bought after the show, balance on the curbstones. The elephants can be fed with bananas. To do this, you need to sit in the first row.
The botanical garden has two restaurants, a small zoo with mostly pets, and a hotel with a swimming pool.

Incredible sculptures from flower pots created. Most of the pots are Thai style and kiln fired. Various sculptures in the form of cars, buildings, steam locomotives are made of pots.
Blue garden.
Nong Nooch Tropical Park has collected and continues to grow a unique collection of palms and ferns. In September 1998, the park hosted the International Palm Society (200 delegates representing 33 countries), which found that the park has the largest collection of palm species growing in one place. Currently, there are 2,600-2,800 species and varieties of palm trees in the world, of which 1,100 species have been recorded in the Nong Nooch Park. In the coming years, it is planned to increase the collection to 2000 species. The main goal of the director and management of the park is to collect the most complete collection of species and varieties of palm trees.
Currently, the collection contains some types of palm trees that are found only here outside of their range. In the future, their importance cannot be overestimated as an object of research by professionals or a simple admiration for plant lovers.
All over the world there is a rapid destruction of forests, places where palm trees grow, and in the future more and more people will come to Nong Nooch Park to get acquainted with the types of palm trees that would otherwise be inaccessible to them. Favorable climate, care and attention, enthusiasm in replenishing the collection allow us to hope that the Nong Nooch tropical park will become a truly real living repository of palm trees, as opposed to any herbarium.
Car park.
Since 2001, the owner of "Nong Nooch Tropical Park" is the son of Madame Nong Nooch - Kampon Tansaka. One of his hobbies is racing and sports cars. However, in the fleet of the current owner of the garden there are not only sports cars, all cars in the collection are exclusive. Campona Tansaka's car park is located in the center of the garden itself, about 40 cars are located on two floors, a specialized car park. A visit to the car park is part of the excursion program. The collection includes cars of such famous brands as Cadillac, Ford, Lotus, BMW, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Mini, Nissan and others.
