Description of the attraction
One of the three theaters that operate in the city of Nikolaev is the Nikolaev State Puppet Theater, located on Potemkinskaya Street, 53. The Puppet Theater was created in 1970, and the first production in it took place in November 1971, it was Risen Jungle. The creative process in the theater was headed by the first chief director O. Lvovich and chief designer Ts. Prokofievich.
The theme of the first performances of the Nikolaev Theater was educational, historical and military. The performances of the newly created theater simply amazed its audience. The first actors of the new theater were not professional puppeteers, but this did not stop them from delighting the youngest spectators with their interesting performances. The first result of the creative success of the young theater was a 1st degree diploma at the All-Union Festival of Puppet Theaters, which he received for his artistic solution and puppets in the play "Ruslan and Lyudmila" based on the poem by A. Pushkin.
Then the theater worked under the direction of director P. Romanova and chief director V. Bezlepko. The next stage director was the young theater actress I. Tsukanova. From 1990 to 1994 the theater was headed by director V. Dikshtein and director V. Bezlepko.
In 1994, the dilapidated theater came under the leadership of V. Tereshchenko, who was engaged in the restoration and reconstruction of the theater building. The opening of the new renovated theater took place in December 1996.
From the moment of its foundation to the present day, the Nikolaev State Puppet Theater has staged about 250 performances. The State Puppet Theater is a titanic work of the theater director and the entire creative team, which annually release one or two premieres. Today, the theater's repertoire is focused on a children's audience and is constantly being replenished with new interesting and relevant performances.
