Description of the attraction

Colonel's waterfalls are a cascade of nine cascading waterfalls of varying heights and strengths. This natural landmark is located in the channel of the right tributary of the Dzhubga River, not far from the village of Gorskoye. The tributary has a name - Colonel (hence the name of the waterfalls), its length is ten kilometers.

The height of the first waterfall is about two meters; it is a natural rock shelter, from which water falls at high speed. The second waterfall in its shape resembles a human nose and the intensity of the water flow is not so high here. The sixth waterfall, which is a cave, is especially popular among tourists. Over the centuries, dripping water has created bizarre stalactites and stalagmites in the cave. The next waterfall is considered the largest - its height is eighteen meters. It is quite difficult to climb to it - you will have to make your way along a steep path, and overcome some sections holding on to the rope. The last waterfalls are stepped, their passage does not cause problems. The intensity of the water flow is not very high.

You can get to the Colonel Falls by jeep (many travel companies offer this service), or walk by bus to the village of Dzhubga, to the stop with the sign "Colonel, 2 km".
