Description of the attraction

The space travel park, which is located in the Chinese city of Guangzhou, is unique in its country. It is the largest space theme park in China. The attraction is one of the places recommended for visiting for all tourists.

The space park is located on Daguanlu Street, in the eastern part of the city. Its area is approximately twenty two thousand square meters. There are about a dozen special platforms and pavilions, which display models of spaceships and other vehicles.

Most of the exhibits are mock-ups of spacecraft. But there are also real samples that have already been in space. Among the most famous originals is the Shenzhou-2 camera, the first unmanned spacecraft built in China. Its launch from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome took place in January 2001. The device spent seven days in space, after which it returned to Earth.

Another famous exhibit is the Changzheng-3 launch vehicle. This is another example of Chinese space production. Changzheng-3 belongs to the third class of three-stage launch vehicles. Changzheng, which means "great campaign" in Russian, was named after the legendary campaign of the Chinese Communist army in 1934.

Foreign models are also represented on the territory of the park. There is also the legendary Russian Soyuz, which once acted as a model for its Chinese counterpart. The most successful launch vehicle of our time is easily recognizable by its head fairing and its characteristic four conical blocks.

Between the Russian and Chinese giants is the third celebrity - the US shuttle Space Shuttle. The only reusable spacecraft. Although this instance has never been used for space flight.

About two hundred million yuan (about $ 33 million) was spent on the construction of the Space Travel Park. The project was intended not only for entertainment purposes, but also aimed at popularizing the Chinese space industry. In addition, the park serves as an educational center.
