Description of the attraction
A little more than a dozen kilometers from Paphos, not far from Coral Bay, there is the famous Animal and Bird Park. It was founded in 2003 thanks to the efforts of Christos Christopher, who donated to the Park his own collection of birds, considered one of the largest in the world.
Now the area occupied by the Park exceeds 100 thousand square meters. meters. A huge number of animals, birds and reptiles live on its territory, and the collection is constantly replenished. So, there you can see flamingos, parrots, eagles, ostriches, cranes, storks, turtles, snakes, spiders, bats, camels, tigers, kangaroos, porcupines, giraffes, monkeys, deer, zebras, mouflons, antelopes and many other representatives of the fauna … Larger animals are kept in fenced pens, and small ones in enclosures, but they are all under the open sky. In addition, ducks and peacocks can be found in the Park freely roaming around its territory.
This place does not just show visitors animals and birds. They are also engaged in their breeding there - a special "kindergarten" was even created on the territory, where you can get to know the cubs of the inhabitants of the park better, pet and feed them.
In addition, while walking in the Park, it is worth visiting the owl and parrot show, which is held several times a day in a special amphitheater room.
The Park has a lot of greenery - trees, bushes and flowers, among which there are also very interesting species. And in the central part there is a large reservoir with islets, decorative bridges and waterfalls.
