Only areas along the Black River remained untouched. Now it is the Riviere Noir Natural Park, which can only be accessed with the permission of the island's government. But it's too early to get upset: there is an excellent observation deck above the reserve, from which you can see both a deep gorge, and a humid jungle that hides the Black River, and an amazing waterfall.
Next to the site there is another amazing place - the private property of the Frenchman Chamarel. They are called the lands of seven colors. A small piece of land consists of low hills of multi-colored sand, which lies in monochromatic layers and does not mix. Periodically cyclones disturb the local idyll, turning everything upside down, but after a while the sand is again in its place.
Extreme entertainment
If your soul asks for something extraordinary, then you can go on an excursion to the hunting natural park Domaine du Chausse on ATVs. A ride on such motorcycles in Mauritius is significantly different from similar entertainment somewhere in the sands of Egypt. Savannah, swift streams with bridges, eucalyptus groves, groups of palms and pines, agave and tea plantations flicker past tourists.
