Stockholm's nightlife is Scandinavian-style nights with flowing rivers of champagne, beer and cocktails. In addition to vibrant bars and trendy clubs where dance, pop, jazz, rock and other genres are played, the capital of Sweden has concert halls where you can listen to live music.
Night excursions in Stockholm
On an evening stroll through the Swedish capital, sightseers will pass by the windows of the owners of houses in the Old Town, whose windowsills are decorated with evening illumination; will reach the place where the runestone is located (a monument of the Viking age); climb to the observation platforms, from which you can see the whole of Stockholm and the spiers of churches.
Those who join the excursion "Gamla Stan - the affairs of bygone days" will learn that the Old City is located not on one, but on several islands, which they will get to know better. The guide will explain how the city was founded and why the size of the Stockholm islands increases every year and the water recedes. On one of the islands, which is the burial place of 17 monarchs, tourists will be told about Charles XII and shown his grave. In addition, tourists will visit the island of the Holy Spirit, where the Parliament is located, and will also walk along 90 centimeters street (there is a small sculpture of a boy who is always dressed for the weather thanks to the locals).
In the evening, do not miss the opportunity to take a boat trip around Stockholm: during such an evening walk, sightseers will see the Drotttingholm residence with its palace and park, and other facilities, as well as dine on the deck. Departure - the pier opposite the City Hall (the route passes through the water spaces of the city and Lake Mälaren).
Nightlife in Stockholm
Before you go in search of nightlife, you should familiarize yourself with the following information:
- the Ostermalm district is the location of the most elegant and exclusive clubs (parties start there no earlier than 23:00, and there are usually "bouncers" at the entrance, who do not let everyone into the clubs);
- in the Södermalm area there are funny bars and clubs, at the entrance to which not too tough face-control is applied (usually people who are at least 25 years old are admitted there);
- Gamla Stan is an area where pubs have found a haven with a cozy atmosphere (mainly an adult audience who is entertained with live music).
The Laroy club (open Thursday-Sunday from 8 pm to 3 am) has 2 floors: the first is occupied by a dance floor (the audience dances to European hits in R&B and house styles) and bars, and the second is occupied by tables and white sofas. Those who are hungry will be fed French and Swedish dishes (exquisite decoration).
The White Room is a space (which can accommodate 800 guests) with white painted walls and illuminated panels. As for the hall and the bar counter, they are decorated with fresh flowers. Until one in the morning, guests can dine in the restaurant (gourmet food + soft music), and then anneal to the club music.
The Sturecompagniet club is a 3-storey establishment with 5 dance floors (each of them plays a different kind of music - from rock to R&B), numerous bars and VIP rooms. Since Sturecompagniet has strict face-control (age limit - 23+), guests need to be very careful when choosing makeup, outfit and hairstyle (for men it is better to wear a suit or expensive clothes in casual style, and for women - an evening dress or outfit purchased in a famous designer boutique).
Gambling tourists go to Casino Cosmopol Stockholm: the institution is equipped with a restaurant, a sports bar and a poker room. It offers 412 slot machines and 46 gaming tables. On Sundays, Casino Cosmopol Stockholm hosts “1001 Natt - Orientalisk Danceshow”. DJ Zoka also works there and often hosts “Balkan Nights”.
