- In preparation for the Winter Olympics, Adler, like the entire city of Sochi, has undergone pleasant renovations. Now modern hotels, shopping and entertainment centers and restaurants have appeared at the oldest resort in the Krasnodar Territory.
Air travel will help you get to the most popular and expensive Russian resort. There is an airport in Adler, which is connected by dozens of regular flights with different cities of Russia. But it is better to book flights, as well as hotels in Sochi, in advance. Yalta or Sochi?
When comparing holidays in the two most expensive resorts, several aspects are usually taken into account:
- How to get to your vacation destination? Dozens of both regular flights and charters fly to Adler airport in Sochi. The cost of a ticket in the "high" season from Moscow is from 8000 rubles in both directions, but we are talking about low-cost airlines like Pobeda and early booking. You can fly to the Crimean airport Semfiropol for about the same amount in the usual way and a little cheaper if you are lucky to buy a ticket for a special promotion. The flight lasts about 2, 5-3 hours both to Yalta and Adler.
- The cost of housing is from 700 rubles for a very simple hotel room in the Greater Sochi region and from 2200 rubles in the Yalta "three stars". The range of prices for rooms in the private sector is so great that if you have experience, you can rent a house very cheap. Closer to the height of the season, prices become not very favorable.
- The cleanliness of the Yalta beaches has recently left much to be desired, and therefore in the Crimea, as well as in Big Sochi, you have to look for a place far from the city center to swim and sunbathe in comfort.
The beach season in Sochi starts at the end of May, when the air warms up during the day to a stable + 25 ° С, and the water - up to + 17 ° С. It is also better not to fly to Crimea before the first week of June. During the day, thermometers can rise to + 27 ° C, but the water remains too fresh until the middle of the first summer month.
The most expensive and beautiful resort
One can argue for a long time about the advantages of Yalta and Sochi, but all tourists who have visited the famous beach resorts of the Russian Black Sea coast are unanimous in their assessments of the surrounding nature and landscapes.
In Sochi, special attention should be paid to the Yuzhnye Kultury dendrological park, the tea plantations of the Matsesta Valley and the breathtaking mountain views of Krasnaya Polyana. Yalta, in turn, is able to give joy from boat trips to the Swallow's Nest, contemplation of a magnificent panorama opening from the height of Ai-Petri, and an excursion to the Nikitsky Botanical Garden, where thousands of rare plants are collected.
