  • Traditional French souvenirs

Every woman dreams of traveling in the French style, one of the most developed tourist powers of the planet is ready to give unforgettable meetings and impressions. The answer to the question of what to bring from France is multifaceted and complicated. Lovers of delicacies will remember about frog legs, famous cheeses with and without mold, and unmatched wine. Fans of cultural attractions will be asked to bring souvenirs with the image of the country's business cards - the Eiffel Tower, Louvre or Arc de Triomphe.

Girlfriends, instead of impractical souvenirs, will ask for a bottle of real (!) French perfume or a jar of miraculous face cream. Men may dream of elegant branded items or a bottle of French cognac. After all, it is in this country that the producers of a delicious alcoholic drink can absolutely safely use the word "cognac" in the name.

What to bring delicious from France?

Continuing the topic started above, I would like to say that not only cognac is associated with France, but also wine. The price breakdown for grape alcoholic drinks is huge, starting from almost 1 euro. It should be remembered that cheap wines can be drunk here as an aperitif, before meals. Home, as a gift to family and friends, it is still worth choosing more expensive wines, starting from 4 euros per bottle.

Good cognac in France is also not cheap, a tourist will have to prepare an amount of no less than 15 euros per bottle. But French champagne can disappoint the uninitiated foreign guest. Its taste is strikingly different from the beloved by millions of "Soviet Champagne".

Of the products, the country can please with a variety of cheeses, however, only a gourmet will be able to understand this variety and tastes. Many cheeses produced here have a specific taste and smell, so such a purchase is only for an amateur or a connoisseur.

But for those with a sweet tooth in France, there is a real expanse, an endless assortment of cookies, cakes, various sweets and desserts. And many guests call macarons the most delicious, such a funny name - "macaroni" and a wonderful taste. Unfortunately, when buying sweets, keep in mind that many of them have a very short shelf life.

Parisian fashion

For foreign travelers, France seems to be a shopping paradise, so some disappointment awaits them when meeting their dream. There are many retail establishments of different levels and formats, but the prices for the products are sky-high, and a tourist of the middle class of Russian income is clearly not affordable. Therefore, it is best to come for clothes during the sales season, which takes place twice a year, in January-February (sale of winter collections) and in July, when summer collections are liquidated.

Most interesting French purchases: branded clothing; scarves; hats. The first one has already been mentioned, there are many options, the prices are high, but in the season of discounts, you can completely update your wardrobe. Scarves and hats make this list because the French are recognized leaders in sewing and wearing accessories. A scarf is an integral part of any Frenchman's wardrobe (both ladies and men), just like hats. Films with famous French actors, the same Jean-Paul Belmondo or Alain Delon, will tell about how to wear this elegant headdress correctly.

French retro

Particularly noteworthy are the Parisian antique shops, second-hand bookstores and flea markets. Here you can find everything that the soul can only wish for. Many foreign tourists do not miss the opportunity to visit places where the atmosphere itself is specific, and shopping can be completely unexpected.

Traditional French souvenirs

And, of course, one shouldn't forget about traditional gifts and souvenirs from France, every French city naturally has its own symbols and business cards. For example, in Paris it is an engineering masterpiece from Baron Eiffel, the famous tower is replicated on thousands of magnets and badges, ceramic mugs and coasters for beer glasses. And the most popular option is a mini-copy made of metal, a key chain.

A gift from Provence will look completely different, it still needs to be assembled. To do this, you need to buy the following products: a bottle of olive oil, with a dispenser for ease of use; a bottle of wine (you shouldn't waste time on trifles, take a little more expensive); delicate cream cheese; a jar of olives; set of fragrant provencal herbs.

Put all this wealth in a wicker basket, one of the most popular souvenirs in the region. The bottom is lined with a linen napkin decorated with embroidery and ties. Products are beautifully covered with a napkin, decorated with a bow - a gift for your beloved mom or aunt is ready. As you can see, any French gift is not just beautiful, it has a unique charm. And you need to give it beautifully!
