  • Capital excursions in Poland
  • Royal excursion
  • "Everything at once!"
  • Non-capital excursions

Ancient Krakow and the modern capital, the golden coast of the Baltic and ski resorts, thematic and sightseeing excursions in Poland have allowed this country to take its rightful place in the world tourism market. Here the tourist feels good both in winter and in summer, he can combine rest with sightseeing, travel to castles and protected places.

Capital excursions in Poland

Warsaw is significantly inferior to the first capital of the Polish kingdom, the great Krakow, in terms of the number of surviving witnesses of ancient history. The main city of Poland had a very difficult time during the last world war, when the Germans, retreating, tried to wipe it off the face of the earth. Quarter after quarter, industrious townspeople have restored ancient architecture, restored monuments and landmarks that survived the German occupation.

The sightseeing tour of the beautiful Warsaw enjoys the greatest attention of the guests of the city, especially those who visit the capital of Poland for the first time. Its duration is about 2-3 hours, it is held at any time of the day, the cost is about 50 € per group (up to 5-10 people). The list of important tourist sites includes:

  • Palace Square with a column in honor of Sigismund III Vasa and the Royal Palace;
  • Cathedral, consecrated in honor of St. John, the oldest church in Warsaw;
  • Market Square, historic center and heart of the Old Town;
  • Wilanow Palace.

Each guest chooses his own excursion destination in the capital - cultural monuments or historical sights, chic squares or famous palaces.

Royal excursion

It is very easy to feel like a representative of the Polish royal family in the old capital - magnificent Krakow, and, above all, in the historical and architectural complex, the Wawel Palace. Of the other sights of the city, many tourists remember the Barbican, a fortification built in the 15th century, Florian's Gate, St. Mary's Church on the Market Square, Kazimierz Jewish district.

There are many options for excursions in Krakow, they differ in travel time (from 2 to 6 hours), route, list of cultural and historical objects included in the excursion, cost. An average tour of Krakow costs about 20 € per person. It is clear that the smaller the group, the more information about each monument.

Not so far from Krakow is Wieliczka - an area in the past rich in salt and, accordingly, salt mines. Today the glory of the town is brought by the unique museum complex "Wieliczka", which allows you to go down to the depths and follow a fabulous route through the underground. Experienced local guides will not let you get lost and tell many beautiful legends and stories associated with the salt mines.

Everything at once

The small size of the country makes it possible to see several cities and natural attractions in one visit. That is why local tour operators, in an effort to attract customers, offer excursions covering different cities and sites.

The most popular is the combined excursion "Krakow - Wieliczka", which is not much inferior in popularity to the route "The Roads of Kings", which connects the same Krakow with the modern capital of Poland. By the way, between the two capitals, guests are expected to descend underground in Wieliczka, visit the Auschwitz memorial, one of the most terrible concentration camps. Pleasant bonuses - a visit to the castle in Pszczyna, called the "Oriental Louvre", and a walk in Czestochowa, which is considered the spiritual capital of the country.

The cost of such a tour starts from 450 €, but this cost includes, in addition to excursion programs, hotel accommodation, breakfast, transfer, guide services.

Non-capital excursions

The important thing is that after visiting Poland once and seeing the main cities and sights, next time you can discover a completely new country. It is enough to order a sightseeing tour of small towns, for example, "Frombork - Chelmno - Torun", each of them has its own amazing places, beautiful churches, magnificent castles and parks. A trip involving three cities will cost around 125 € per person for three days.

If a family with children is going to Poland, then you need to think about a route that will be of interest to young travelers. One of these proposals has received the name "Merry Voyage", the program includes: skansen - a well-known ethnographic open-air museum in the country; the city of Olsztyn, where the secrets of glass-blowing art are kept; ostrich farm. The cost of a one-day trip to such diverse, but interesting sites will be 155 € for an adult tourist and 140 € for a child (over 12 years old). And how many memories there will be after this route filled with discoveries and fun.
