The leadership of each of the republics that are part of the Russian Federation has approved its own heraldic symbols. If we look closely at the coat of arms of Chuvashia, it can be noted that the author of the sketch took into account the traditions of European heraldry, but interpreted them creatively on the basis of national ethnographic material.
Light and wealth
The color palette of the coat of arms of this republic, on the one hand, is not rich (only three colors have been chosen), on the other hand, it is very bright and sunny. In a color photo, the main official symbol of Chuvashia looks very stylish and expressive.
As the main colors, E. M. Yuriev, the author of the sketch, chose the most popular heraldic colors - these are scarlet (red) and gold (yellow is allowed).
In each element of the coat of arms, there is a combination of scarlet and gold, in addition there is a black color. It is used to draw small details and outlines.
The symbolic meaning of the palette is well known to specialists in the field of heraldry. The scarlet color is associated with wealth, health and strong-willed characteristics of the human character - courage, courage, heroism. The color of gold is traditionally associated with wealth, prosperity, and the sun.
Description of the heraldic symbol of Chuvashia
For the main emblem of the Republic of Chuvashia, the following elements have been chosen, which are traditional satellites of many world coats of arms:
- a shield with the image of one of the important symbols of the Chuvash ornament - the world tree;
- a bordering ribbon with the name of the republic and ending with a stylized image of plants;
- "Three suns" - a kind of emblem, consisting of eight-pointed stars, located above the shield.
The heraldic shield has an unconventional shape, the so-called cut, edged. It is divided into two unequal parts, one of which, the upper one, is golden in color, the second, the lower one, is scarlet. The scarlet element of the Chuvash ornament, the symbolic tree of the world, looks expressive against a gold background.
Another important element of the national ornament is located above the shield - eight-pointed stars. For their image, the author chose a gold color and a scarlet border.
The shield is surrounded by a scarlet ribbon with the name of the republic in the Chuvash and Russian languages. The ribbon ends with stylized hop leaves and cones. This plant is used by the local population to make beer, which is a ceremonial drink.
