In Bolivia, tourists will find the streets of Sucre, famous for buildings of the colonial era, the peaks of the Cordelier, the Andes tracks (routes of varying difficulty and duration have been developed, which is important for both beginners and experienced trackers), the Uyuni salt desert, the humid jungles of the Amazon basin, Potosi ("Silver" city), Lake Titicaca, several archaeological parks (El Fuerte, Tiahuanaco), numerous Indian carnivals. If we talk about the natural resources of this country, then first of all, travelers will be interested in the waterfalls of Bolivia.

Arcoiris waterfall

This 90-meter waterfall (its width is 50 m), around which there is an impenetrable jungle, was formed on the Pauserna River. Its name, translated from Spanish, means “rainbow” - as a rule, it appears above the waterfall in the afternoon due to the sun's rays falling at a certain angle.

Using the services of Bolivian travel agencies, travelers will be offered to go to the waterfall along the Pauserna River on pirogues (the journey often takes several days). It is worth noting that the most difficult route to the waterfall is a 10-12-day hike to it through the jungle (extreme tourists will appreciate it). But if you wish, you can make it easier for yourself and go to the waterfall as part of a walk on a light-engine plane (after flying around the waterfall, you can take a couple of wonderful photos from a height).

In the national park, where the famous water cascade is located, there are several more noteworthy travelers, waterfalls:

El Encanto: it falls down from the Huanchaca plateau (its height is 80 m);

Federico Alfeld: This 25-meter waterfall is formed by the Pauserna River (to explore the flora and fauna around the falls, you should plan your visit in November-May).

Cascadas Espejillos waterfall

A series of beautiful waterfalls, about 20 m high, are hiding in the jungle. More than 10 natural pools with crystal clear waters can also be found here, where visitors prefer to splash and swim. This place is ideal for picnics, relaxation and games in nature.

It is recommended to go here with an experienced guide, since being in the jungle is far from being safe for untrained people. To get to the waterfalls, you will have to cross the Pirai River (this can be done in the dry season - in April-November), and then continue along the dirt road on the other side of the river.

In the vicinity of the waterfalls, you can stay overnight in a tent city, where there are showers and kiosks where they will offer to buy food and soft drinks (a night in one of the huts will cost each guest 20 Bol.).
