Guests of Cameroon will be able to relax on the picturesque beaches, climb the mountain of the same name, more than 4000 m high (3-4 days are allotted for the climb), get new clothes in the “trade” cities of Douala (famous for colonial buildings, urban sculptures and a picturesque embankment) and Yaounde (interesting for its Crafts Center), visit the Royal Palace in the city of Fumban. Excursions deserve special attention of travelers, on which the waterfalls of Cameroon will appear in front of them in all their glory.

Waterfall on the Lobe River

The 12-meter waterfall is formed at the place where the Lobe River flows into the Atlantic Ocean, falling from a ledge in a beautiful cascade (a trip from Douala will take about 3 hours, and the cost will cost about 2,000 francs). If desired, a visit to the waterfall can be combined with a boat excursion along the Lobe River.

In the vicinity of Kribi (famous for the deposits of volcanic salts of a unique composition, due to which the resort in the future may receive the status of a balneological resort), tourists may be interested in the national park, where you can meet pygmies (their average height is 1.3 m) and relax on the beach (November - January is the period when sea turtles lay eggs here).

Ecom waterfall

Ekom, 80 m high, falls down in the form of several streams in the rainy season (in the dry season it is one powerful stream). To see it, you need to go a rather long way, using the services of local drivers or ordering an excursion at the hotel - the place of your temporary residence.

Tourists will be delighted that in the vicinity of the Ekom waterfall there is the Manenguba mountain range (farmers live at its foot, and cattle breeders live in the higher area), famous for several interesting objects: extinct volcanoes; two crater lakes, the water in which is "colored" in green (symbol of the feminine principle) and blue (symbolizes the masculine principle) colors. It is worth noting that near the Ek waterfall (the locals consider it sacred), in the jungle, in 1984 the film “The Legend of Tarzan” was filmed.

Menhum waterfall

Travelers who decide to visit this waterfall (during the rainy season, a huge amount of water cascades down) should take into account that the access road to it is uneven, and the existing observation deck is not a well-groomed place for viewing the water flow and local landscapes (despite this, here you can find several benches where you can rest after a hard journey). In this regard, when studying a curious object, you should be careful.

It is worth noting that a dam and a hydroelectric power station have been built on the river that forms the waterfall.
