Rest in France means visiting castles, gastronomic provinces, beaches of the Cote d'Azur, famous museums … And in addition to a rich cultural and beach holiday, tourists will be offered to go on excursions to see the waterfalls of France.
Gavarnie waterfall
12 cascades (located at 1400 meters above sea level) of different volumes and heights fall from picturesque cliffs (free fall of jets - 420 m), and at their foot the Gav de po river was formed. In addition to the waterfall, guests will see the glacial circus - snow-white rocks in the shape of a semicircle (they stretch for 14 km).
Piscia di Gallu
This 60-meter waterfall is located in the Ospedale Mountains. During the journey, which will take about 2 hours (round trip), those who set out on the way will be able to admire the picturesque landscapes - rocks and green vegetation. Children should not be taken with you because of the rather difficult final section of the path (travelers cannot do without good shoes). And for those who are not averse to swimming, it is recommended to take beach accessories with them.
Fontestorb
Fontestorb is represented by an intermittent cascade of water: the phenomenon in the form of a water flow falling over 36 minutes can be observed in June-October. First, the water fills the cave, after which its level drops, revealing the cave bottom and the steps that are laid there. Then, after a pause of 32 minutes, this unusual process is repeated again. During the excursion, tourists will be told that the rhythm of this phenomenon has not changed for over 200 years. According to the conclusions of scientists, it is possible to observe this natural phenomenon due to the existing 2 pools (they have different volumes), from which water is poured first into one and then into another pool. At other times, Fontestorb is an ordinary waterfall, the waters of which flow in a uniform stream.
Waterfalls of Trou de Fer canyon
Canyon Trou-de-Fer (through it the "main" river Bra-de-Cavern flows) is divided into 2 parts - a narrow gorge and a wide crater, from the edge of which 6 waterfalls rush down. Once here, guests first admire the small waterfall Bra-Mazren, at the foot of which a lake is formed (in the heat, the waterfall stream practically dries up). But the most famous of the waterfalls of this canyon is the 4-step cascade of Trou de Fer, which is over 720 m high (unofficially called the "washing machine", because at its foot, those present hear the noise and observe the thick fog formed by water splashes).
