Vietnam is a country with a tropical humid climate, the weather varies greatly and depends on the season and region, hot sunny days can be abruptly replaced by the season of heavy rains. These nuances must be taken into account first of all, then, having chosen the optimal warm interval for yourself and having decided on the time of stay in the country, the question arises of what to take with you to Vietnam.

Documents and money

From the documents, you will need a direct foreign passport, if you are traveling as a tourist for up to fifteen days, then you will not need a visa, insurance and a ticket confirming the time of your arrival in the country must be kept.

Vietnam is a country of victorious socialism, so dollars for local currency, dongs, can be safely exchanged right at the airport, the exchange rate in the local exchange offices is approximately the same everywhere. Prices are relatively low, but one way or another, ten days of stay at a hotel with visits to excursions, tea establishments and numerous cafes will cost about 70,000 Russian rubles for two.

Medicines

There is a huge number of pharmacies in Vietnam, in large cities such as Nha Trang or Phan Thiet, you can even find service personnel who speak Russian, so there should be no problems with buying medicines and they are cheaper here than in Russia. Nevertheless, it is better to play it safe and take the minimum set with you.

It is advisable to take analgesics with you. In Vietnam, as in any tropical country, there are many different blood-sucking mosquitoes, from which it would not hurt to grab a spray or ointment, as well as an emollient cream that relieves itching.

Vietnam is full of exotic tropical plants that can cause a lot of trouble for allergy sufferers during the flowering period, so if you consider yourself one of them, it is better to stock up on antihistamines in advance. Antiseptics, iodine, hydrogen peroxide, plaster will not be superfluous. Vietnamese cuisine is quite exotic and unusual for European stomachs, so you can take remedies for heartburn and diarrhea with you.

Clothes and footwear

As mentioned above, Vietnam is a country with a tropical climate, so you should take a minimum of clothes on your trip, most likely, you just need to take:

  • Bathing suit, two pairs of shorts and light trousers in case of burning feet.
  • Several T-shirts or light sundresses.
  • Be sure to take a hat, cap or hat.
  • A comfortable pair of sneakers in case you are planning excursions and trips, for example, to the Bajo Falls, where it is simply impossible to get through the shale.

Despite the danger of being caught at any time by the rainy season, you shouldn't take a raincoat with you to Vietnam, you can buy it here at every corner for a price of about ten Russian rubles.
