This zoological project is one of the youngest in the world! Only in 1993, its organizer and inspirer, Professor Farukh Yalchin, decided to open the doors of his own private menagerie for visitors. The guests were not long in coming, and today the Istanbul Zoo has grown and become a full member of the European Association. On the territory of 200 thousand sq. m. more than 300 species of animals live here.

Growing out of a small private menagerie, Darik Zoo today is proud of its exotic inhabitants. The enclosures contain predatory lions and huge tigers, fluffy foxes and graceful deer, lazy camels and striped zebras, wild horses and restless monkeys. In the aquarium, the eye is pleased with the abundance of bright representatives of the underwater fauna, which can be watched for hours with a camera.
