Soon after the founding of the People's Republic of China in the 50s of the last century, on the site of the old "Garden of Ten Thousand Animals", a zoo was born in Beijing, which today has become one of the main and favorite attractions of the capital of the Celestial Empire. Historians claim that plants and animals were bred at this site during the Qing dynasty, which ruled China since the 15th century.

Australian kangaroos, African zebras and Manchurian tigers have also become favorites of the public, and the Beijing Aquarium, which opened in 1999, is the largest in the country. How to get there?
The zoo is located in the Xicheng district in the western part of the city, opposite the Astronomical Observatory.

- In the summer season from April 1 to October 31 - from 07.30 to 18.00. The panda house is open at this time from 08. to 18.00.
