Cambodia is a state occupying the southern part of the Indochina Peninsula (Southeast Asia). It covers an area of about 181 thousand square meters. km. Previously, this country was called Kampuchea. The islands of Cambodia are distinguished by a mild climate and beautiful nature. There are no tsunamis, typhoons and earthquakes, which are typical for neighboring countries - the Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand.

The capital of Cambodia is the city of Phnom Penh. The population of the country exceeds 13 million people, most of whom are Khmers. The rest of the local population are Chinese, Vietnamese, mountain Khmers and Tams. Cambodia is a constitutional monarchy led by a king. The legislative body is a bicameral parliament. The state owns 52 islands. The length of the sea coast is 458 km. We list the islands of Cambodia:

One of the first Russians to invest in the islands was S. Polonsky. Today he owns the private island-hotel Mirax Resort. Foreigners, like Cambodian citizens, cannot buy islands from the state. They just take them on a long term lease.

What attracts the country's resorts

The islands of Cambodia are famous for their good beaches. Many land areas are unpopulated. Tourists annually visit such islands as Koh Rusei, Koh Ta, Koh Pi, etc. The Koh Tanga group of islands is popular among tourists. Their ecosystem is unique. There are no venomous snakes on the islands. Cambodia owns islands with fresh lakes with hot springs. Experts say that there are at least 40 land areas near the coast that have investment potential.

Climate on the islands

The weather conditions in the country depend on the monsoons. The air temperature in different parts of Cambodia varies slightly. The average annual temperature is +25 degrees. Before the rainy season, the temperature rises to +38 degrees and above. Temperatures below +10 degrees are very rarely recorded in the country. The warmest month is April, and the coldest month is January.
