Restaurants, beaches and hotels in Montenegro: pack your suitcase!

Moreover, we will not consider the aesthetic, cultural and cognitive component of travel (after all, this is your individual plan of action). Another economy option is to rent villas if you are traveling to the sea in a large company.

Montenegrins prefer small, family-run, and therefore cozy establishments, literally for a couple of tables. Your patience will be tested by the slow execution of the order and the tantalizing aromas of grilled food. But do not rush to blame the owners of the establishment for their sluggishness: everything that is served on the table is exceptionally fresh and ecologically impeccable. A lot is served on the table, and dinner drags on after midnight.
In Montenegro, whole villages high in the mountains specialize in the preparation of one dish - cheese or ham. If you are lucky enough to get to Njegushi - the homeland of prosciutto - be sure to visit "sushhara", our smokehouse. Hundreds or thousands of pork legs hang from the ceiling for 4 months, fumigated by logs of burning beech.
Car rental
40-50-60 euros per day - and you travel around the country along your own route. The small handwriting in the brochure will require you to reach 21 years of age and 4 years of driving experience. And you know, if you are not sure - do not rent: the roads in Montenegro are narrow and winding, in some mountainous areas, they are also not fenced, and although there are no "horsemen" behind the wheel among Montenegrins, you can bump into our dashing tourist. Here, as in Europe, a small amount of alcohol can be consumed by the driver.
Once Montenegro was considered a country for budget vacations, but in recent years the situation has changed: the proximity of Europe and the fatigue of travelers from Egypt and Turkey are affecting. Hotels in Montenegro are increasing the payment, the entertainment program and gastronomic excesses are becoming more expensive, but in general the prices have not even approached the Croatian ones.
