The airport in Novokuznetsk, known as Novokuznetsk - Spichenkovo, is located between two Siberian cities - Novokuznetsk and Prokopyevsk, near the village of Spichenkovo, from which it received its modern name. Its runway, almost three kilometers long, can accommodate both small and wide-body Boeings. The passenger traffic of the airline is 200 - 250 people per hour.
Since 2012, the airport has had international status. It operates international flights to more than 10 destinations. The list of regular charter flights is constantly growing.
History
The date of foundation of the airport in Novokuznetsk falls on August 1952. Through the merger of disparate small airlines, on the basis of the Abagur airfield, in the department of management of the West Siberian Civil Air Fleet (Civil Air Fleet), a single 184th squadron was created, serving mainly passenger and cargo air transportation to Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo and other cities of Siberia.
Gradually expanding, by 1998 the airline began to make long-distance flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg and regular charter flights to tourist countries. In April 2012, the airport received international status

Travel
You can travel from the airport to the nearest cities - Prokopyevsk or Novokuznetsk by public transport. The Novokuznetsk railway station is connected with the airport by bus No. 160. Buses No. 10 and No. 20 run regularly to Prokopyevsk. Minibuses run along the same routes every 15 - 20 minutes. To date, the cost of travel in public transport is 18 - 20 rubles.
The distance from the center of Novokuznetsk to the airport is just over 25 km, so the travel time will take no more than half an hour.
The nearest cities - Kemerovo, Mezhdurechensk, Prokopyevsk, Belovo, etc. can be reached using the services of a taxi, which became possible in the air, right from the plane.
