The Monastery of the New Martyrs of Russia in Novosibirsk is an active Orthodox monastery, which is the first such building within the city. It is located at the church on Novogodnaya Street, in the building of the former Novosibirsk cinema "Luch".
The temple was consecrated in honor of the Holy New Martyrs of Russia, who suffered for their faith during the cruel persecution of the Church by the Soviet government, in December 1993. In the fall of 1996, Hieromonk Theodosius (Cherneikin) was appointed rector of the monastery. Since that time, the monastic community gradually began to gather, which later became the basis for the male monastery. In October 1999, by decision of the Holy Synod, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II blessed the transformation of the parish in honor of All Saints into the monastery of the Holy New Martyrs of Russia.
In the monastery there is a house church, consecrated in the name of the Monk Seraphim of Sarov the Wonderworker, where the evening and morning monastic rule is performed every day. Divine Liturgy is held on Saturdays.
The inhabitants of the monastery are engaged in woodcarving and painting. There is also a carpentry workshop, a huge library of spiritual literature and an audio and video library. All priests and novices undergo training at the Orthodox Theological Institute in Novosibirsk.
Today in the monastery of the New Martyrs of Russia there are 20 inhabitants, among them 10 monks who have a holy order. At the Church of All Saints in October 2001, a children's Sunday school was opened.

The monastery is named in honor of the Holy New Martyrs of Russia, who suffered for their faith during the years of persecution of the Church by the godless Soviet regime. It was located at the Church in honor of All Saints, located in the former cinema "Luch", on Novogodnaya Street, 24. The Church in Honor of All Saints was consecrated on December 31, 1993. The initiator of the construction of the temple at the intersection of Nemirovich-Danchenko and Vatutin streets was Archpriest Nikolai Chugainov. The consecration of the site for the construction of the temple took place on August 29, 1994. After the death of Fr. Nicholas was not built for a long time. Since 1998, construction work has been resumed. In April 2003, the dome was raised. July 25, 2005 the temple was consecrated in honor of the Holy New Martyrs of Russia by Archbishop Tikhon of Novosibirsk and Berdsk.

On October 6, 1999, at the request of His Grace Sergius, Bishop of Novosibirsk and Berdsk (+ 20.10.2000), and with the blessing of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II, by the decision of the Holy Synod (magazine No. 106), the parish in honor of All Saints was transformed into a monastery of the Holy New Martyrs of Russia … The community has acquired an official status. This is how the first monastery was organized within the city of Novosibirsk.
December 26, 2012 By the decision of the Holy Synod (journal No. 139), Abbot Guriy (Prokichev) was appointed abbot of the monastery.
May 29, 2013 the name of the monastery has been changed to
Diocesan monastery in honor of the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church.

Appeasement There is silence and tranquility in the temple. Services are held every day, morning and evening. Responsive priests. You can talk with the abbot Abbot Guriy about spiritual life, ask for advice. It is better to arrange a meeting in advance. The monastery is under construction, it is in dire need of funds.
