Description of the attraction
House-museum of the famous artist A. A. Kiselev in the resort town of Tuapse was opened on May 8, 1994. The landscape painter lived in this city for eleven years. His dacha was located in the vicinity of the resort on a beautiful rock, also named after him. Among all the figures of Russian culture involved in the history of Tuapse, A. A. Kiselev is in the first place. Tuapse motifs in the artist's work first appeared at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
In 2002, after a major overhaul in the house-museum of A. A. Kiselev, new expositions were created, presented in four halls: the first hall is the artist's study, the second is the music living room, the third is the dining room, and the fourth hall is the artist's workshop. To date, the house-museum contains about 5500 exhibits, 4000 of which are items of the main fund.
The exposition of the house-museum, based on a strict factual basis, presents the things of Alexander Alexandrovich and his family members. Each exhibit is a subject of a creative process or a household item.
In the living room, where family evenings were held, A. Kiselev received the People's Artist of the Republic K. N. Igumnov, the famous landscape painter N. N. Dubovsky, the sculptor V. A. Beklemishev and many other artists. The exposition of the house-museum presents sketches and paintings by Kiselev, photographs, documents, household items of the mid-19th - early 20th centuries, which convey the atmosphere of creativity, kindness and love that reigned in the house of a landscape painter. There are also exhibited paintings by the artist's son and student - N. A. Kiseleva. Many original paintings and materials were donated to the city by the artist's grandson S. V. Kiselev.
Museum workers are engaged in the collection, storage, study of the artistic heritage of Alexander Alexandrovich, educational and educational activities. In the house-museum of A. A. Kiselev, various thematic and musical events dedicated to the life and work of the artist are held.
