Description of the attraction

The Forest Sculpture Museum was created in 2008 by the famous woodworker Igor Fartushny. The museum is located in a two-story building in the western part of the village of Yablonov, Kosiv district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The opening of the museum was attended by the chairman of the local village council, as well as representatives of local governments. The head of the museum is its founder - I. Fartushny.

The Museum of Forest Sculpture has a permanent exhibition of works on root plastics. Fartushny's root plastic is a combination of love and bitterness, madness and hope, magic and funny, amusements and original sin. All this is an individual philosophy, self-expression, your own vision of the world. The expressiveness of the works of the famous master I. Fartushny does not require thought: they all capture, excite and surprise. However, among the many exhibits, there are those that make you think, because in themselves they mean something big, secret, unknown.

There are hundreds of works in the collection of Fartushny. Even more of them are in the process of being processed. The sculptor's works are multifaceted: they are birds, miraculous animals, real and mythical images of people.

The wooden sculptures collected in this museum were made from the snags found by the author in the forest, which were practically not processed. Their main sculptor is nature. For the same reason, all products are tinted only with natural paints and are not even varnished. Museum visitors also have the opportunity to visit the workshops of I. Fartushny and get acquainted with the process of working on sculptures.

The Forest Sculpture Museum in Yablonov is part of the Prykarpattia Museum Circle. To visit such a museum is like getting into the mysterious wonderful world of a forest extravaganza.
