Description of the attraction
The Water Museum is located in the center of Khreshchaty Park, in an old water tower more than 130 years old. The tower itself and its neighbor (the restaurant is located in it) is a real architectural monument. The museum was opened after the reconstruction of the tower in 2003.
The official name of the museum is the Water Information Center, which is explained by the role assigned to it - informing visitors about the hydrosphere of the planet, about the water reserves that Ukraine has, as well as about the consequences of human activities. It is here that visitors have the opportunity to get acquainted in more detail with the details of the water cycle in nature, known to everyone since school.
Attracts in the Museum of Water and a large pool with Japanese fish swimming in it, which are sensitive to the palms outstretched over the pool and touch them, jumping out of the water. Visitors are also surprised by a large toilet bowl, at least half a human height. Also of interest is a grotto located in one of the halls of the museum, visitors of which can observe various transformations and states of water - there is a rain with a thunderstorm, and a waterfall, and much more.
The Kiev Water Museum is especially interesting for children of different ages, since it is not just a museum where you can only look at the exhibits. Exhibitions in this museum are held with interactive elements: with the help of ordinary shovels, children have the opportunity to create a miniature river bed in the sand on their own. In addition, both adults and children in the Museum of Water can be united by blowing huge soap bubbles. The attraction is designed in such a way that visitors can take turns taking a few moments in the middle of a giant soap bubble shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow.
